Our camp directors are Helen Zdriluk and Brandon Panchan – both are Ontario Ministry of Education certified teachers.
Helen developed the award-winning music theatre program at Burlington Central High School. She is currently artistic director for Centre Stage Productions and has conducted workshops internationally for both students and adults. In addition to completing a music theatre internship at the Shaw Festival, Helen teaches drama and music theatre at Centre Stage Theatre School, drama in education and children’s theatre at Brock University, and collaborative practices at Sheridan College.
Camp counsellors are graduates and senior students in Brock University’s Drama in Education program, who have had three to five years training in teaching drama, as well as classroom experience.
Teaching assistants are selected high school and university students with theatre and leadership training.
Each group of 15 will have a counsellor or director and at least one teaching assistant.
All staff have police checks and are trained in camp procedures and in safety policies. There will be at least one counsellor on-site with first aid certification.
